Christmas is a twelve day feast and the last day is 5th January. But by about the 2nd January the spell is broken and most of us have a strong desire to take down the decorations and move on. Christmas pudding is a traditional food and sometimes it’s nice to use a traditional recipe. I have mixed feelings about the lead-up to Christmas and Advent specifically. I love how excited my children get. I love that use their leftover Halloween sweets to stuff the pockets of their advent stockings. I love being invited to Christmas events (not many of these, but hey!) and I love it when the Christmas cards begin arriving in the post.
