I think I should have realised years ago that turkeys are wild animals in the USA. Unlike here in the UK, they don’t  just live in a Bernard Matthews enclave, spending the whole year dreaming of Christmas. The first hint that I got about this alternative turkey lifestyle was on a trip to the supermarket. For the last month I have been testing the new Samsung Galaxy S8+ mobile phone. This was on loan to me courtesy of Three.co.uk . As you will see, all the opinions are my own. No, it’s because this is designed to stay on my face and keep my pores breathing. That means I can wear it when I am getting some hot and sweaty exercise. Unfortunately I’ve been banned from running with…

We’ve always looked down our noses at Father’s Day because it was invented by Hallmark Cards – or that’s the allegation, anyway. I have no evidence this is true. If it really was invented by a greetings card company then somehow it seems cheesy and not authentic. Compare it to Mothering Sunday, which is an actual part of the church calendar in Lent. And as it’s a man’s world, do Fathers really need a day? These sneering dismissals…
