A bean bag to suit your family

Do you have that one seat in the living room that everyone fights over? If you add a really comfy bean bag to your room, then you’ll have more choice. This Icon Milano Velvet bean bag is armchair shaped. It’s large enough to support an adult well and has decent amount of bulk at the back to support you. The fabric is soft velvet which is nice to stroke and doesn’t shed.

Each member of our family made an “oooooh!” or “aaah!” noise when trying out this beanbag for the first time. It really hugs you, and I could fall asleep in it. The bean bag chair dimensions are 100cm wide by 88cm deep. With seat height of 35cm it’s not too low to the floor. It is substantial but it moulds around you as you wriggle!

We chose dark blue to complement the shades in Belle’s bedroom. It’s also available in other on-trend colours which are teal, mustard, grey and dark forest green. In theory you can zip it open (with care) and add or remove beans to suit your own preference. However don’t fill it too full, so there’s some space for movement.

Bean Bag Bazaar describe themselves as “A Bazaar bunch of trend obsessed soft furniture specialists with an eye for quirky British design.” These are all made in the UK. The luxurious quality surprised me; I hadn’t expected something so casual to be made to such a good standard. This and careful design are reflected in the price but I think it’s fair at £119.99.
