Inateck Laptop bag and sleeve, camera bag and business backpack review
I always seem to need one more bag. Do you? The ones I have are not quite right. Maybe I need a better size, something smarter or different pockets. I’ve made a few expensive mistakes with camera bags and I’ve never know what to look for in a good laptop bag. That’s why I am so pleased to get the chance to test and review some bags from Inateck, and guess what? They turned out great!
There are four bags in this review. I’ll be looking at the camera backpack, the business backpack (a weekender bag), the laptop backpack and a laptop sleeve. This selection has me covered for just about any short trip. If like me, you need to take gadgets, cameras and tech when you travel, then I think you’ll like these options. Every one of them is a kind of laptop bag, even if the main function is to carry clothes or cameras. I’m going to show you how much stuff the bags fit in, how they look and how well made they are.
1. Inateck Anti-shock DSLR/SLR Camera Backpack with Laptop Compartment, Rain Cover, Tripod Holder
When I carry a DSLR I find it heavy, so I need to be comfortable. The adjustable straps and padding are great for this. I can swing the bag around to the side on one shoulder, to slip out my DSLR. The adjustable compartments will take plenty of spare lenses and camera bits. While I am wearing the camera backpack, the zip is concealed against my back for security.
The smart canvas-feel top cover with buckles looks stylish, like denim. Inside it is a large daypack area which is big enough for me to pop in my handbag. There’s also a laptop pocket, although I don’t often take that along with my camera. Outside are useful zip compartments. Inateck have placed the zips with security in mind. There’s a hidden side pocket to hook on a tripod too.
This is the camera bag I have been wanting! It will get a lot of use so keep an eye on my Instagram stories to catch me on my travels. I am trying to find a criticism for it but all I can say is that it would have been nice if the rain cover was in-built instead of loose, as I’ll probably leave it behind. Still, that’s a small thing, and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
2. 30L Inateck Large Capacity Laptop Travel Business Backpack,17 inch Anti-theft Rucksack
My husband grabbed this bag straight away. He took it on a business trip by train and he’s really pleased with it. A business backpack needs to have two sections which open independently: One section to work as a laptop bag and a separate section which opens right out for clothes. The sections are essential because you do not want to open your case in a meeting and have your underpants fall onto the table! This case is an absolute bargain. A wheeled suitcase of the same size and pocket design cost us nine times the price of this bag, so we are seriously impressed with this.
This Business Backpack also fits within cabin bag dimensions, especially those of our preferred carrier KLM/Delta which are slimmer than most. 30L capacity is loads. There are also security features such as a pocket that sits against your back, and securing clips over the side zips. There’s a side handle to help lift into an overhead bin, and a separate rain cover.
I also took this Inateck Business Backpack away for a weekend and it carried all my clothes, sponge bags and laptop comfortably. It is easy to handle and versatile, and will become one of our most used bags in the family. The bag is soft and clothes are carried vertically on your back, so I would use a few packing cubes to avoid clothes slipping downwards. The only negative is the slightly plain colour and fabric, but that’s a small point. This was previously labelled in an Amazon listing as a “briefcase” and I am carrying it by the side handle in the photo, but “business backpack” is a better description.
3. Inateck Laptop Backpack with USB Charging Port, Anti-Theft School Bag/Business Travel Backpack
This laptop bag is ideal for your commute to the office, school or college. It’s got a lovely sheen to the fabric and although mine is black, other colours are available including purple, brown and blue. The bag holds its shape well and it never sags. The padding and zips are clearly good quality, but it is lightweight and also has a separate water-repellant cover.
There is a large rear section where the laptop pocket is, along with some other pocket inserts and a concealed, secret zip compartment. There’s an inbuilt USB port so you can connect your tech without getting it out of the bag.
The front section is slim with some pocket inserts including a zipped coin section. Outside there are two pockets on the front and two side pockets for things like water bottles. It’s another clever bag from Inateck. It might be a bit just a shade too big for a school bag at present, but for something like university or the office it would be ideal.
4. Shockproof Inateck Laptop Sleeve Briefcase
Last but not least this Inateck laptop bag sleeve is all about stylish protection and convenience. I have the 14 to 14.5 inch size and it’s a snug fit with no rattle, but there are a range of sizes available. The photos do not show how solid it is. It doesn’t bend very easily although it is made of lightweight fabric. It’s got substantial padding, and the interior is lush velvet, so that my hand gets gently stroked each time I put the laptop inside!
The handle feels like leather and there is some give at either end of it so that it pushes flat when not in use. There’s a useful exterior zip pocket which is also lined, and the fabric is spill-proof for added protection. It doesn’t have a shoulder strap, which might be a nice addition. It’s quite a simple case but perfect when you just want the laptop with you. For example if you end up checking a bag onto a plane, you can slip your laptop sleeve out to carry onboard.
Laptop bag with a side of everything
These four bags all carry laptops in every situation where I might need one. Inateck also make a lot of other gadget and laptop bags, sleeves, other gadgets and a big range of tech. The company started life in Germany and their engineering heritage shows strongly throughout the range with great functions and build quality. I’m delighted to have been gifted these bags for review and I hope it is clear that all these opinions are my own. I was so pleased with them that I decided to record a video to demonstrate them in more detail. Please watch, share and follow along!
